Welcome to Reels on Human Relations

Learn with us – Reels on Human Relations (ROHR) is an initiative of the Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies at the University of Oklahoma Outreach. This learning community illuminates issues of social justice and sovereignty in higher education, both nationally and internationally, by showcasing a compelling selection of thought-provoking films featuring unique voices and visions.

Events

Student Filmmaker Festival

Reels on Human Relations hosts a student filmmaker festival, showcasing the creative works of emerging filmmakers. This festival is featured both on the University of Oklahoma campus and as part of the NCORE conference, providing both a local and national platform for student voices in social justice and sovereignty.

Standalone Film Screenings:

In addition to the student filmmaker festival, Reels on Human Relations organizes standalone film screenings with filmmakers. These events include an opening with comments from the filmmakers, a screening of their work, followed by a Q&A session with audience members about the film. This interactive format fosters deeper engagement and dialogue on the issues presented in the films.
